Your Majesty & The Room

Your Majesty
This majestic land of ours
Bare deserts frozen with royal arrogance
The night sky hovers above – rather peacefully
As we lie under a deep-green canopy of foliage
Together as one, we sweetly embrace
Moonlight dancing on our freckled faces
They rise up to follow the stars
And dive down once more, dipping.
Our young spirits, infinitely free –
Yours from mine, or you with me?
Neither of us can truly see
This widened sky, nor narrow tree
The dance continues into the night
Twirling under the deep blue light.

The Room
Yellow robe dangling in ruffled silence
Begs to be touched by my tainted hands
Snickers innocently as I wash away old wounds
To forget the past, to make amends
Shortly-
Red sheets crumpled and hidden
Emerge from their blue-basketed solitude
Here lies the secrets that shouldn't be told
But merely half-whispered to faithful walls
Quietly-
In half-helpless arrest
There is but one more, the rose
Wilted with memories, yet freshly pinned
A symbol of hope that swallowed my sin
That questioning glimmer in her youthful eyes
Wondering-
Should I go in?
